St John Ambulance in Bristol/Avon

Bristol International Balloon FiestaUntil I recently moved to Southampton, most of my volunteering for St John Ambulance was in Bristol and the surrounding areas (we still refer to the unitary authorities of Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset as “Avon” for organisational purposes).

St John Ambulance in Avon is very active, with dozens of units across the county who provide service at a large number of public events throughout the year, including:
Bath Half Marathon

If you’re in the Avon area and are interested in becoming a St John Ambulance volunteer, have a look at the roles available and visit our website. You can also telephone 0117 953 3880 (office hours) for further information, or get in touch with me if you get stuck.

If you are running an event and require first aid and/or ambulance cover, again please see the website or call 0117 953 3880.

We have modern and fully equipped training facilities in Bristol, Bath, Weston-super-mare and Nailsea where we provide training in First Aid at Work, Moving and Handling and other first aid and health-and-safety related subjects to anyone (both commercial courses and training for our membership).
